iGateway Application Server Manual
Welcom e to the iGate Application Server (IAS) and Internet Gatew ay! Our new application server brings a platform of m any new and exciting features to the EasyTrak Client Tracking System . This capability is only available for use in EasyTrak version 7.5. This allow s capabilities like: Connectivity over the Internet Connectivity over WAN / VPN links Secure instant m essaging on the EasyTrak netw ork Connection for rural rem ote sites w ith only dial-up capability This can be run as a application or as a Window s service but running as a service is the default and recom m ended. There is no need to install Microsoft IIS internet server or any other w eb server for internet access w hen using the IAS service everything is included. All you need is internet access and a static IP address from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and of course a com puter to run it on.

Installation
Run the installation and install the software; the default directory is C:\easytrakdata\ . The installation wizard will install and configure the iGateway Application Server and start it as a service. The default name of the service is "iGate_IAS_easytrakdata" .

If you wish to manually configure the port or database location the you will need to start the software manually. (Before manual configuration stop the windows service "iGate_IAS_easytrakdata". Now run the application from the installation directory in order to configure it to connect to your database, method of connection and the mode of operation.

Connecting to your database
Select the "Config Database" option on the Database tab.
This w ill open the Database Connection Wizard. You w ill need to select "Netw ork Server" as your connection option, then select "Next->".
Enter the nam e of the m achine containing the database. If it is the current m achine you m ay also use localhost as the server nam e.

Enter the Path to the database file and test your connection.
Press "Finish" after you have received a successful connection.

Setting Connection Parameters
Make sure you have your setting just like the diagram below . Set your Transport Method to Com pressed this w ill allow you to have com pressed secure connections across your WAN and any public internet access.

Installing as Service
*** Before you configure anything here m ake sure you close the application and restart it if this is your first installation. Verify that the setting on the "Gatew ay" tab are still set to Com pressed as the transport m ethod.

Press the "Install Service" button.
Press the "Start Service" button.
The EasyTrak Application Server should now be fully configured and started. You m ay now establish connections from the EasyTrak Client Tracking System .
