Many people believe that study record is more of a conclusive evidence than entrance

examination results to be accepted to university. While I agree with this statement, in my

point of view, both ways have their own merits and should play an essential role in
conducting assessments. To begin with, the results of study during high school years reflects
the students’ progress in their academic years. Achieving high entrance score is challenging
as not only does it depend on one’s knowledge, it also hinges on mental state and luck.
Contradicting to that, following the advancement of the students’ own results, universities
can have a greater insight into each individual’s ability. Having said that, the entrance test
can prove to be integral. Because teachers at schools are often more lenient than the
invigilators, the score they get is probably more genuine, thereby evaluating them
accurately. To summarize, either of the methods can be creditable and should be used in
parallel with one another.
