Waste Oil
Waste Oil
Food wastes contribute to a significant part of the total global wastes produced by having a
direct impact on the environment.
Vegetable oils, food fats and car oils, if they are poured down the drain, cause balls of grease
that clog the collectors, making it difficult for gases to escape and giving rise to bad odors in
cities.
If we add the 'few' of oil that end up being thrown down the sink in all homes, in the end they
end up being 120 million liters, according to the Ministry of the Environment, two thirds of the
total volume consumed, which is around 180,000 million, approximately four liters per
inhabitant.
