ANNOUCEMENT

UERMMMCI-Graduate School 10th (PEARL) Year Anniversary Celebration The University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center - Graduate School will celebrate its Pearl (10th) Foundation Anniversary on August 7-14, 2011. This week-long celebration will attempt to bring together the universities and colleges offering Graduate Programs in Health for academic exchanges of research work, innovative discoveries and health service outreach programs. The celebrations theme Championing Graduate Education towards Health Development and Nation Building is an embodiment of our commitment to making health accessible to the people through quality graduate education and professional programs for health practitioners. In view of the above, we would like to invite your school to participate in the series of activities on the said dates. Please refer to the table below for details:

Call for Abstract The University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center- Graduate School invites you to submit abstracts for oral presentation on the following categories Studies related to: A. Clinical nursing, community health, mental health, occupational health, maternal & child health, nursing administration, diabetes nursing and education. B. Burden of diseases, Public Health systems, health financing, health equity, global health and complementary and alternative healthcare C. Tropical diseases, environmental health, vaccine development and treatment innovations of tropical medicines Guidelines
1. The abstracts must not have been published before 2. Abstracts can only be submitted online thru the secretariat (jessonb@gmail.com) 3. The length of an abstract body should not exceed 3000 characters (about 400 words) 4. Only submissions completed prior to the posted deadline will be considered. 5. An author must choose at least one category for each abstract submitted 6. All presenters will be awarded with certificates of participation. 7. If you have any questions regarding your abstract submission, please contact our pearl secretariat at 716-9208 or email at jessonb@gmail.com 8. All presenting authors must confirm on or before August 7, 2011. 9. Formatting: The size of the abstract is limited to 3000 characters not including spaces (or approx. 400 words). This includes title, body of abstract, tables and graphics. The title should clearly define the topic and contain no abbreviations. The body must contain 4 separate paragraphs: a) Introduction and Objective; b) Methods; c) Results; and d) Conclusions. The abstract should be informative and detailed.
