This alternate is feasible and safe. Also,
1) Alternate-A; Using by Airplane + Car(Jeep) the road condition is ok.So, hiring a jeep
(bolero) from phaplu airport is
- From Kathmandu Airport to Phaplu Airport__Using by Airplane recommended.

- From Phaplu Airport to Power Plant Area__Using by Car(Jeep)

2) Alternate-B; Using by Car (Jeep or Van) This alternate takes time and tiring. Not
suggested

- From Kathmandu Airport to Power Plant Area__Using by Car

2.2 Approach Plan of [Weir Site] This approach is only available to


reach to weir site since the road
1) Alternate-A; Using by Airplane + Car (Pony horse or Motocycle?) condition is not good.

- From Kathmandu Airport to Lukla Airport__Using by Airplane


Taking a pony horse from Lukla
- From Lukla Airport to weit Site Area__Using by Car (Pony horse) airport to weir site is better option
compared to motorcycle or car.

3. Is it possible to take on-site photos using “DJI drone (small drone for shooting)”?
1) Can I take a “DJI drones” from Korea? yes, it is allowed to bring drone from Korea to Nepal.

2) (In case of not entering Nepal with “DJI drone”) Can I rent a “DJI drone” in Nepal
and go to the site, take on-site photos using “DJI drone” by myself?

Since, the flights are not regular to these areas, prior flight reservation are recommended. Also, the fight ticket
price mentioned above is tentative and subjected to change depending on different factors.
3. Is it possible to take on-site photos using “DJI drone (small drone for
shooting)”?
A. Yes, it is allowed to bring drones from Korea. But one has to register it in
Nepal.
B. Registration can be done either online (not responsive on time) or in
Kathmandu directly after landing.

or department of tourism can assist you in this regards).

1. Filled form as per instruction (passport size photos, details of the drone are
required)

3. Flight information (start date, end date, purpose and location map)
4. Letter of authorization (only for a foreigner or a foreign company) (letter of
authorization has to be obtained from CAAN or department of Nepal tourism board.
