“Start-Up” Group assignment

Topic: Project Valuation/Investment Appraisal
Due date: 6/11/2022
Submission report online to trangtk2@fe.edu.vn prior to due date.
Requirement:
- Write up an investment appraisal of your group project (for group assignment)
- Present your group project, imagine you are trying to persuade investors (teacher and
other classmates) to invest in your project. (individually marked- for individual
assignment)
- Comment/evaluate other groups’ project
Report structure:
1. Introduction: Introduce your business idea and your plan (for example your idea of
openning a restaurant, a english teching center, a gym center, a coffee shop, etc…)
2. Market plan, marketing plan, management plan….. (Briefly present)
3. Financial plan
- Clearly state your initial investment. What does it include? Try to estimate as close to
reality as possiting expenses, capital expenditure, Net working capital investment,
business growth rate... Not only you need to forecast, but you also need to explain why
and how you come up with those forecast, be reasonable and practical.
- Use capital budgeting techniques to calculate: NPV, IRR, Payback period, assume the
project is financed 100% by equity.
