For a satisfactory service life length of this type of valve installations,

always make sure that all control loops are in perfect condition and
function properly.

Oscillating cooling water control and/or oscillating pressure control may

result in thermal fatigue and can cause damage to the valve and its
internal parts.
WARNING
The valve body ± upstream and downstream ± must all the time be kept
drained and preheated. Free water in the system is not allowed, neither in
the piping system nor in the valve, as it may lead to severe water hammer
with subsequent danger of damage to persons and material.
