A synopsis on taming of the shrew

The taming of the shrew is about this man named Baptista who lived
in Padua and he had two daughters. Katharine, the elder, was known
very well for her scolding tongue and got angry very quickly;which is
why no one wanted to marry her. On the other hand, her sister
Bianca was more gentle, modest and beautiful. She had more than
one offer to get married and she much liked her young tutor
Lucentio, but her father would not let her marry before her sister.
Now there was this man called Petruchio. He was looking out for a
rich wife. He had heard all about Katharines temper and it didnt
frighten him because he was in the army. He was still happy because
she was pretty and rich. So he went to the house to propose
marriage toKatharine. When he was there, he discussed the dowry.
He was told that at Baptista he would receive half of the estate and
twenty thousand crowns. When Katharine was finished with her
music lessons Petruchio went in. When he told Katharine that he
wanted to marry her she was going to slap him, but he caught her
hand and said that he was going to marry her whether she liked it or
not. She became angry. After the wedding Petruchio decided to
teach Katharine a lesson. As a result Katharine had to starve, go
without sleep and any decent clothes to wear. She had to show that
she was obedient to her husband so they could go and visit her
father. When Petruchio thought she was obedient they set out to
