No. 8551, empowers the Commission to approve or modify plans and programs on education and training, logistical requirements, communications, records, information system, crime laboratory crime prevention and crime reporting as well as prescribe minimum standards for arms, equipment and uniforms and, after consultation with the Philippine Heraldy commission. for insignia of ranks, awards and medals of honor: WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforecited legal prescription, the PNP, through its Uniform and Equipment Standardization Board (UFSB) Resolution No, 2014-110 dated November 7, 2014, submitted the proposed amendment to the minimum standard in the specifications for Latest Year Model Patrol Jeep 4x2, 2.41, Single Cab Bonnet ‘type for the consideration and approval by the Commission: WHERFAS, the objective of the UESB subject proposed amendment to the specification for Patrol Jeep Single Cab is to attain a much fuel-efficient vehicle with loss ‘mission to aitract more participation in the public bidding process WHEREAS, the UESB proposed amendment is @ product of meticulous consultation with the technical persons with expertise in the ficld of mechanical engineering due to the advent of technology and to ensure of prescribing a non-tailored fit specification of a brand product by any manufacturer, WHEREAS, after thorough review and evaluation, the Commission find the proposed Specifications for Patrol Jeep Single Cab in conformity with the requirements of Republic Act. No, 8551, Republic Act No. 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) to include logistical policies and issuances of the Commission, to meet the requirements of the: PNP.
