Japanese Give a Debt of Rp 6.9 T to RI to Deal with Disaster

The Japanese Government will give a debt worth 50 billion yen or around Rp 6.9 trillion
(assumption is Rp 139/yen) to deal with disaster in Indonesia. The policy was agreed upon
when the Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga met with President Joko Widodo.
“Considering the effect that the covid-19 spread on the Indonesian economy, on this occasion
Japan has designated fiscal relief loans worth 50 billion yen to increase Indonesia disaster
relief capacity.” says Suga in a youtube broadcast Secretary of State.
In addition, Japan will promote cooperation with the Indonesia health assessment agency
through the distribution of medical goods and equipment.
