Infiltration
The standard infiltration curve fp can be given by the equation
fp = 1.2 + (9 – 1.2) e^-0.076t
Where fp is in/hr and t is in minutes.
1) Plot the standard infiltration capacity curve using t = 0, 10, 20, 40, 60 min.
2) If the rainfall intensity is 1.5 in/hr during the first 40 minutes, would all the rain be
infiltrated? Explain.
3) If the rainfall intensity for the next 20 minutes interval is 6 in/hr, would all the rain be
infiltrated? Explain.
