The battle of the generations

The differences between the generations reflect the different reality in which we have
matured and to which we have adapted. But, we can be surprised by how much everything has
changed in recent years considering the evolution of technology and the quality of life. Do
you think the world has changed for the better or for the worse?

A century ago, life expectancy was closer to 54.

Now people can expect to live an average age of
about 79.

We all know that now it’s easier than ever to

live. Over time we tried to make our life easier,
by searching for new activities or by making new behaviors. We have access to more food,
we pay more attention to what we eat, it is impossible not to find food that we do not like. The
food is more diverse but we have to be careful because junk food takes over the world. Fast
foods are expanding, the food here is very unhealthy, but
very good and cheap and people usually prefer to eat in this
type of places. What do you prefer, healthy or junk food?

Sport also helps to have a healthy life. Now you have

a lot of activities to do, you can go to the gym, go on walks,
practice any sports that can take up your time. Today’s children start a healthier lifestyle from
an early age, their parents and the society where they live having a great impact in their
development.

It is obvious that living this kind of lifestyle implies a good financial situation. In most
cases healthier means more expensive. So do you think it is fair that not everybody can have
the same chances to have a longer life?

In my opinion, life is easier now and we all know that. But things are evolving too
fast, and there are many factors that can affect our evolution if we don’t pay enough attention.
