Pension Schemes

While pension is one of the most intrinsic right of post-retirement life, the fact that a lot of applicants
were not even aware about the relevant pension schemes was a major concern during pre-camp visits
and on the day of the camp. People aged above 65/70 years of age were not aware about the basic
schemes that were made in their favour, especially in terms of receiving monthly pensions through
various government plans. These schemes and governmental policies and their knowledge for the
applicants were of utmost importance, considering that many of the applicants were disconnected
from the general PR and advertisements about these schemes and were unable to avail the benefits of
it due to the exact reason.

Schemes like Pradhaan Mantri Shraam Yogi Maandhan Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana were
explained and made aware to the applicants. Moreover, applications and complaints were registered to
administer the death certificates of eligible pensioners who died over 10 years ago which was
essential for the Nirashit Mahila Pension Scheme. Income, Residence and Category certificates were
provided to nearly 250 people with the help of Hon'ble Pradhans of Kasmandi Kala and Fatehnagar.
These applications were filed in co-operation with Pradhan’s office and a smooth communication
channel was established between the applicants and the administrative bodies for addressing any
additional grievance on a similar matter,
