REPORT: FACTORS IMPACTING SUMMER

HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS

Introduction
This report discusses the results of a survey conducted on a group of randomly chosen adults in
relation to their reasons for choosing a summer holiday destination.

Men and women: Similarities

First of all, it can be easily concluded from the graph that there are some reasons that have the same
impact on both groups. For instance, there is no difference in how much price, good local food and
friend recommendation influence their choice of Holiday destination. Furthermore, the importance of
these 3 things is similar, in the interval of 6 to 8. On average, the most important factor for both men
and women is the good local food with a score of 8.

Men and women: Differences

Despite the similarities, there are some significant differences, which affect one of the groups up to 30%
more than the other. The attractive advertisement, as well as the sports facilities are far more impactful
for men than for women. On the other hand, women place greater importance on proximity to water
and interesting local culture.

Conclusion
Given the similarities and the differences, we can conclude that practical and economical factors are of
greater importance than the cultural ones.
