What is the moral of the story and how the story presented the caste system?
The moral of the story is “like minds always get along.” This means that you will only be
happy with someone if you both have similarities such as same goals and outlook in life. This
will make things easy for the both of you and you can live your life with full of happiness once
you found that person. The story “Mouse maid” presented the caste system by giving a
situation where they prioritized first the higher rank in the option to marry their daughter. This
situation usually happens in the past because higher rank in the caste system is known as the
leader and most powerful among the rest.
