Joanne Rowling, also known by her pen name J. K. Rowling, is a British author.

She born in 31 July


1965 in UK, Bristol. She wrote Harry Potter, a seven book children's fantasy series published from
1997 to 2007. The series has sold over 500 million copies, been translated into at least 70 languages.
The Casual Vacancy (2012) was her first novel for adults. She writes Cormoran Strike, an ongoing
crime fiction series, as Robert Galbraith. By 2008, Forbes had named her the world's highest-paid
author. She won lots of rewards like Nestle Smarties Book Prize in 1997, 1998, and 1999 for three of
her serialized works; 1999 Whitbread Awards (Children’s Book); Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2000;
and Bram Stoker Award in 2003.
