Engineering Graphics - Il Time: 3Hrs.

Max. Marks: 100

Note: I. Answer all the questions only in the drawing sheet supplied.

Assume missing dimensions suitability if required.

Use proper drawing instruments and board

First angle projection is to be followed

All dimensions are in 'mm'.

Part A 4x5= 20

Answer any four questions.

1.Draw a regular pentagon of side 40mm with one of its base edge inclined at 600 to HP.

2.Draw the projections of a cylinder of base diameter 40mm and height 60mm with-its base on the HP.

3.A triangular pyramid of base side 30mm and height 60mm rests on HP on its base with one base edge
is perpendicular to V P. Draw the front view and top views.

4.Draw the development of a rectangular pyramid of side 20mm X 44mm and altitude 60mm.

5.Draw the missing top view of the object shown in fig. I.

Part B 4x 20 = 80

Answer any four questions.

Each questions carries twenty marks.

l . A hexagonal plane with 30 mm side has its surface parallel to and at 15mm in front of VP and
perpendicular to HP. Draw its projections, when a side is inclined at 450 to the HP.

2.A hexagonal prisum of base edge 25mm and height 60mm lies on the ground on one of its rectangular
faces with its axis inclined at 450 to the VP. Draw the projections of the prism.
3.A cone of base diameter and axis 60mm long has its base on the ground. It is cut by a cutting plane
perpendicular to the VP and inclined at 300 to the HI), which meets the axis at 35 mm from the apex.
Draw the front view, sectional elevation and true shape of the section.

4. A cylinder of30mm diameter and 35mm axis length is cut by a section plane inclined at 300 to HP and
passes through 15mm from base along the axis. Draw the development of the lower portion of the
truncated cylinder.

10. Draw the development of a funnel as shown in Fig. 2.

l l . Draw the isometric view ofthe given components as shown in Fig.3.
