Chapter 10

Tutorial 10-3: Build a risk index model

Run a model in edit mode

• Page 321, after step 4 add the following comment
If your PovertyIndex output is incomplete, stopping at a horizontal line before reaching the
bottom, your computer probably does not meet all requirements to run ArcGIS Pro 2.8. (If you
care to check your computer, in your browser search for “ArcGIS Pro 2.8 system requirements” and
run the app provided to see if your computer has limitations.) A work-around to getting all output from
your model is to reduce the size of the output PovertyIndex raster layer as follows.

• In the Analysis tab, Geoprocessing group, click Environments and change Raster Analysis Cell
Size from 50 to 100. With a larger output cell size, fewer computer resources are needed.
• In your model, double-click each process to verify that Output cell size is 100.
• Under the ModelBulder tab, click Validate and then click Run.

If increasing pixel size from 50 to 100 is not enough to get all of the output raster layer, try 200.
