Written Task 1
Purposive Communication (GE4)

Instructions: Answer the following questions comprehensively. Justify your insights by

providing sample situations, empirical data/experiences, etc. if necessary. Plagiarism
will not be tolerated. The rubric below will be used in grading your written task.

1. Without surfing the internet or using other reference materials, how can you
define communication?
For me, communication is the recieving and sending of information between two
people or a group of people. Communication also is a way to know a person and
to talk with one or a group of person. For example, when you meet someone or a
friend, the communication will come because you need to talk and to know
his/her backround if who is he/she.

2. How important is communication? What do you think will happen in our society
without communication?
Communication is so very important to our society because without the
communication, our society become meaningless, boring, our life become
sadness, no information what's happening to our society and for sure we don't
know anyone now or we don't know each other if there's no communication in our
society.

3. Can communication take place without the use of words? How?

For me, no because it's difficult to talk and communicate in someone without a
words. We also cannot say what we want to say or explain to someone without
words to communicate.
