1. Fibroadenoma
• It is swelling of fibrous and Adipose tissue of breast mass.
• Swelling of Fibrous and Adipose tissue combinedly known as Fibroadenoma.
• In young women (20-30 years of age) Hard fibronama occurs due to peak
level of hormones and in elder women at the menopausal age Soft
Fibroadenoma occurs.
• Have more chances towards Malignancy.
Clinical features
• There is painless and mobile lump in breast.
• Commonly in younger women 20-30 years of age and elder in 40-50 years of
age.
• It slowly gradually growing lump without tenderness.
• It is also known as breast mouse due to slippery nature.
Treatment- Excession of tumour is followed with biopsy.
2.Duct Papilloma
• This is benign tumour arising from epithellium of lactiferous duct.
• This tumour is small in size 3-4 mm but interferes in lumen of duct
and cause secretion from duct.
• It is pedunculated swelling can be turn into carcinoma.
Clinical features-
• It is common in age of 30-50 due to harmonal imbalance.
• Commonest symptom is discharge from nipple.
• If pressure given over papilloma discharge comes from affected duct.
• Nipples may be retracted.
Treatment- Removal of duct with polyp is basic treatment. If
Histopathological examination shows malignancy then do
mastectomy.
