For measure 11-14, I sometimes ask students to create their own 4 or 8 beat rhythm. One of these can be repeated 4X


for measures 11 and 12, then the other rhtyhm they create can be used for 13 and 14. Encourage them to try different timbres
11 on the buckets and sticks and maybe some syncopation if they are more advanced. 4X

A couple of thing could happen here.

Students could crab walk and switch places

            
or they could explore crab sounds on the floor

with loud and soft.... maybe even student directed.

For measure 30 - 34, Students can use the same rhythms from 11-14. Make sure measure 29 is silent. 30 can be a 4 beat rhythm

    
or the second 4 beats of your 8 beat rhythm.

At the very end after the piece is over, bucket drummers can quietly click their sticks on the ground
as one by one, they leave the stage with their instrument.
EXTRA TIP: Make sure YOU can clearly hear the track. Sit next to the speaker or monitor to ensure you don't get off tempo.
The critical measures for this are measures 1 - 6. Good luck and have fun!
