honestly as possible.

1. Before this lesson, did you have any knowledge or any idea about netiquette?
(2 points)

-Yes, I have some awareness of netiquette because we discussed it

throughout my senior year of high school. Netiquette, or internet etiquette, is a set
of norms or behaviors that can be followed or used when communicating via the
internet.

2. Among the ten rules presented, which of these did you manage to observe
and follow When you go online? Which of these did you violate? (3 points)

-When I go online, I normally obey the first, second, and tenth netiquette
rules. First and foremost, remember the human. When I go online, I never forget
that I’m communicating with a person, not a machine. Still, when communicating
with them, practice maintaining a positive attitude. The second rule is to maint
ain the same standards of conduct online as you do in real life. “You are what you
post,” as the saying goes. Inside a social media realm, you are also displaying who you
are in the actual world. I don’t fake or behave like anyone else, even if it’s only o nline
and some people may never see me in person. The final rule is to be forgiving of other
people’s errors. No one is flawless, and we are all bound to make errors in order to
learn. As a result, one of the best things to do is to forgive. The 7th rule, which is
supposed to help keep flame battles under control, is one that I’ve broken before. One
of my worst regrets was writing nasty remarks online to send a message to someone I
despise, because everyone is bound to read that message and misinterpret you for
doing so.

3. Now that you have learned about netiquette, how will you apply this learning to
your Online activities? (5 points)

-I’ll start by changing myself before applying this knowledge to my online

activities. Second, I want to share what I’ve learned with my friends and family so
they can see where they’re falling short online. Third, in order to help others and avoid
becoming toxic online, I must observe and respect all internet etiquette. To make a
development for myself and my co-online users, I need to understand my limitations.

4. What other rules can you add to the ten rules of netiquette? (5 points4. What

“ Things on the internet should not be prioritized”. People nowadays are

so engrossed in their cellphones and other devices that they neglect to spend
meaningful time with those around them. Families and friends are the most important
people in our lives, yet by constantly using our smartphones, we forget to communicate
and bond with
them. Even children nowadays use smartphones and do not engage in any
physical activities. We are in a new generation, and technology, particularly
smartphones, is assisting us i n communicating with individuals who are far away.
We should use smartphones to manage our time and learn prioritizing real people
over online folks.
