CIRCULATORY SYSTEM DISEASES

A circulatory disorder is any disorder or condition that affects the circulatory

system and can occur because of problems with the heart, blood vessels or
the blood. There are many circulatory disorders including coronary artery
disease, hypertension and stroke. These conditions can arise due to a variety of
factors such as genetics or lifestyle.

DISEASES
Anemia-Is a condition in which you lack enough healthy red blood cells to carry
adequate oxygen to your body's tissues.

Leukemia-Is a broad term for cancers of the blood cells. The type of leukemia
depends on the type of blood cell that becomes cancer and whether it grows quickly
or slowly. Leukemia occurs most often in adults older than 55, but it is also the most
common cancer in children younger than 15.

Coronary artery disease-Is caused by plaque buildup in the walls of the arteries
that supply blood to the heart (called coronary arteries) and other parts of the body.

Hypertension-High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is blood pressure that

is higher than normal. Your blood pressure changes throughout the day based on
your activities. Having blood pressure measures consistently above normal may
result in a diagnosis of high blood pressure.

Valvular heart diseases-Valvular heart disease is when any valve in the heart has
damage or is diseased.

Myocardial infarction-happens when one or more areas of the heart muscle don't
get enough oxygen. This happens when blood flow to the heart muscle is blocked.
