I chose the topic about Classical Conditioning or also known as Pavlovian or respondent conditioning. I chose this because I can more relate with this as a teacher and as a mother I always use the unconditioned stimulus (UCS), unconditioned response (UCR), neutral stimulus (NS), conditioned stimulus (CS) and conditioned response (CR) to my children and to my students. These principles can influence human health, emotion, motivation, and therapy of psychological disorders and there are many clinically related uses of classical conditioning. The influence of classical conditioning can be seen in responses such as phobias, disgust, nausea, anger and sexual arousal. A familiar example is conditioned nausea, in which the sight or smell of a particular food causes nausea because it caused stomach upset in the past.
