School lunch act in Japan

Introduction
The history of school lunch act law started in Japan in 1954. This lunch program was
implemented in many countries (Ishida, 2018). School lunch program aim was to develop the
healthy growth of children, while obesity and overweight was also observed in recent decades in
many countries (Miyawaki, Lee, & Kobayashi, 2019). This program was also globally
recognized to improve children’s nutrient (Ishida, 2018) . this nationwide program was enacted
in order to help in obesity and overweight phenomena, but act doesn’t prove it. Later in 2005
Shokuiku act was also introduced for healthy mind and body and trends or changes that occurred
under this act (Hosoyamada & Miyahara, 2018). This lunch act program also expected to cover
universal highlight and reduce socioeconomic gap between fruit and vegetables by children. Th
