International Day Of Clean Air For Blue Skies

Under an initiative of the United Nations, the first-ever International Day of

Clean Air for Blue Skies was celebrated on September 7,2020. We, at V@rsity
Care celebrated this day by sharing pictures of people holding placards,
spreading the awareness on Instagram. The main motive of celebrating this
day is to emphasize on the ill-effects of air pollution and bringing focus on the
collective call to action against the environmental evil.
Polluted air has a profound impact on both, the health of humans and the
environment. From increasing the risk of lung cancer to causing permanent
damage to the environment, air pollution is an evil that should not be
overlooked. Increasing deaths are taking place due to polluted air. There is an
urgent need to spread awareness for the need for clean air. We have taken an
initiative to promote this idea. Our pictures on Instagram include
#CleanAirForBlueSkies and quotes like stop polluting and start Planting, Go
phew because the sky is blue. These pictures reflect an idea to promote the
need of clean air for blue skies. We want to be a part of the solution, not
pollution.
Air pollution is a preventable problem. Actions to reduce can have almost an
immediate effect on air quality. This pandemic is just the beginning of nature’s
reaction to all the human activities destroying it. Nature is taking a toll on
humans. In difficult times like these, we all must understand the serious
repercussions of horrendous activities destroying our mother Earth and try to
reduce them. So, let us all come together and celebrate this day for the need
of clean air. Together let’s achieve #CleanAirForBlueSkies.
