A Correlational Study of the Effects of vices of Grade 12 Senior High School Students of UC Banilad on
their Academic Performance

Statement of the Problem

This correlational study aims to determine the Effects of Vices on the Academic Performance of Grade 12
Students of UCB-Campus in the Second semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023. It mainly answers the
following sub-problems:

1. What are the demographic profiles of Grade 12 Senior High School students that are exposed to vices
regarding:

A. Gender

B. Age

C. Strand

2. What are the common vices that they have been exposed to?

3. What are their motivations for committing vices?

4. How much money do the students spend each time they do those things?

5. Are their academic performance affected by them being exposed to vices?

Statement of the Hypothesis:

HOı: There is no significant relationship between the effects of vices and academic performance.

HO₂: There is no significant relationship between the effects of vices and academic performance.
