THE PARABOLA
 The set of all points in a plane that are equidistant from a fixed line, called the directrix
and a fixed pount called focus
PARTS OF PARABOLA
 Focus- a fixed point on the interior of a parabola
 Axis of Symmetry- a line that bisects the parabola
 Directrix- a line perpindicular to the axis of symmetry and does not touch the parabola.
 Vertex- Midpoint between the focus and the directrix
 Focal Diameter- length of line segment that runs through the focus and the endpoints on
the parabola

 DOWNWARD- X first term and negative value of p
 RIGHT- Y first term and positve value of p
