Dear Sir Haruichi Furudate :

I am 16 year old senior high school student at Notre Dame of Midsayap College and I am a huge fan of
your amazing manga series Haikyuu!!

Ever since I read your book Haikyuu!! It inspired me to play volleyball. It helped me gain more
understanding to the sport. It also taught me a lot of things like the different strategies, tactics and
teamwork in playing volleyball. But the most important thing that I learned from your book is to never
give up, you can always try again. I always remember the line that Hinata says ‘Mou ikkai’ or one more
time, one more time to try again for the reason that according to Tobio Kageyama “The last ones
standing are the victors. Only the strongest. If you want to be the last one standing, become strong.”
And that’s why I love your book because it is brilliant. Not only that it teaches me things about the sport
but also lessons about life.

Is your book based on a true story? Do you play volleyball?
