1 INTRODUCTION
This Manual includes the interconnections list, the hardware and
software configuration for a typical radiological room using a generator
G 100 R/F-A.
For the use of this generator with different configurations of room and for
X-ray tube and AEC calibration, please make reference to the
G 100 R/F-A Service Manual and equipment you have to connect with.
Room configuration
• Apollo
– I.A.E. X-ray tube type
– Three field solid state AEC (Gilardoni or Comet type)
– I.I. H.R. – CCD N33.
• G 100 R/F-A
• Chest Stand VD3 35x43 with motorised foot rest (See Note)
– Three field solid state AEC (Gilardoni or Comet type).
Receptor configuration
NOTE:
When the Generator is supplied with "Falling load" feature, the GalKey
U29 # 73594213 is installed on CPU board.
The Falling Load option it is not available on the receptors where the
"SERIAL" exposure is enable (par. 2.3.4 - Image Receptor Programming
Worksheet: "SERIAL=YES"); whenever the Falling Load has to be
activated on the Spot Film Device receptor, the SERIAL parameter has to
be set to "NO".
In case Falling Load feature and SERIAL exposure are required will be
necessary to create for each a dedicated receptor.
NOTE:
Reference to the Chest Stand VD3 35x43 with motorized foot rest is made
in order to allows the installer to record the necessary information for the
hardware interface among G 100 R/F-A and Potter Bucky.

NOTE:
The configuration of the Jumpers not listed in the previous tables is not
relevant for this system integration.
Prior to beginning tube calibration, the tube used in the installation must
be properly selected, and generator limits should be programmed.
If the x-ray tube used in the installation is present in the library of the
generator refer to the G 100 R/F-A Service Manual, chapter 3C -
Programming the generator in order to record all the necessary
information to program the generator set-up.
The configuration of the starter board it is requested too. Refer to the
G 100 R/F-A Service Manual, chapter 2 - Programming the low speed
starter-Programming the dual speed starter to record the necessary
information to complete the configuration.
If the X-ray tube used in the installation is not present in the library of
the generator should be present in the utility software. The data
communication with a computer it is allowed using the GenWare® utility
software. Refer to the G 100 R/F-A Service Manual, chapter 3C - DATA
LINK to record the necessary information.
2.3.1.3 X-ray tube not present neither in library nor in GenWare® utility
software
If the x-ray tube used in the installation is not present neither in the
generator library nor in the GenWare® utility software a manual setting
of the tube and generator parameters is required. Before changing these
parameters is strictly recommended to consult the data sheet of the x-ray
tube that is going to be installed. An X-ray tube present in the library or
in the GenWare® utility software, as similar as possible to the one is
going to be installed, can be selected. The tube and the generator
parameter required in the generator set-up must be set in according with
the information recorded from the data sheet of the x-ray tube. Refer to
the G 100 R/F-A Service Manual, chapter 3C - Tube selection and
Generator limits in order to record all the necessary information to
program the generator set-up.
The configuration of the starter board it is requested too. Refer to the
G 100 R/F-A Service Manual, chapter 2 - Programming the low speed
starter - Programming the dual speed starter to record the necessary
information to complete the configuration.
The installation of the AEC devices and their calibration are covered in
the G 100 R/F-A Service Manual, chapter 3E - Automatic exposure
control (AEC) calibration.
NOTE:
The Fluoro set-up data must be set in according with the X-ray tube
technical specification.
The following tables meets the Fluoro set-up request in according with
most of the X-ray tube supplied by Villa Sistemi Medicali; during the
installation could be necessary to optimize the set-up.
The installation of the ABS device and his calibration are covered in the
G 100 R/F-A Service Manual, chapter 3 - Automatic brightness
stabilisation (ABS) calibration.
