I've been using social media for over a decade, but it was only five years ago that I

decided to pursue it professionally. I wanted to learn about it because I was inspired

by all of the inventive and creative things ventures were doing to attract the
attention of their target audiences. I was curious about what they were doing
differently to distinguish themselves as a creative person myself. I knew this was the
type of talent that would allow me to combine my artistic abilities with strategic
thinking to create growth and influence.

My quest to raise awareness about how one's choices might effect one's long-term
health has led me to join the R.E.T.I.N.A Initiative, a non-profit organization
dedicated to eliminating avoidable blindness in African communities.

To raise awareness of avoidable blindness in Nigeria, I have utilized both online and
offline platforms, such as social media posts. Using these connections has allowed
me to collaborate with a variety of different groups on health-related campaigns,
such as the current trends medical's hypertension awareness campaign and
CHRONMATE's diabetes retinopathy awareness campaign.

These qualities that I have gained and utilized in my past experience are to this day
important tools in social media management, and I will engage in them to promote
this initiative.
