Borobudur Is one of the Most Attractive Destination in Indonesia

Borobudur is one the most attractive destination in Indonesia. First, it is the biggest Buddhist
Temple in Indonesia. This temple located at Badrawati Street, Borobudur Temple Area,
Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java. Borobudur Temple which was built in 8 th century of
Mahayan during the king Syailendra, has 2.500 m 2 area. It also has 121,66 m length and
121,38 m width and then the height is 35,40 meter. Even, Borobudur Temple had became
world heritage site which recognized by UNESCO. It is based on a very unique temple
building with unexpected architecture. Additionally, each building in Borobudur, all of them
have their own characteristics and meanings. According to Buddhist Philosophy, Borobudur
Temple has tier structure which is analogous to the wheel of life. The tier structures are
Kamadhatu (the bottom of temple : describe human behavior that is still bound by worldly
desires), Rupadhatu (the middle of temple : describe human behavior that begins to leave
worldly desires), and Arupadhatu (the top of temple : describe the unseen element as
evidence of leaving the worldly desires). Moreover, Borobudur has many cultural sructures
in there. Borobudur Temple has 2.672 panels of relief on the wall of the temple, and 540
Buddha Statues. Not only that, Borobudur Temple is claimed to be the Buddhist temple with
the most reliefs in the world. Borobudur Temple’s Relief has many deep meaning, one of
them is that relief in the bottom that tell about Karmawibhangga’ story that describe life,
behavior, and human environment. While, the relief in the top of temple that called Jataka
describe Buddhist’s story before became god, then show us that there were human in various
profession and animals. Behind all the deep meaning, Borobudur Temple moreover provides
many facilities than can make us refresh and comfort. We can see the beautiful view of the
area area around this temple from its height. Beside seeing the beautiful view, there are also
many sellers of gift or souvenirs, so we can bring our loved ones some gift from this beautiful
