One day a gentleman called Earl Grey was walking with a

friend through India and it suddenly happened. In the

middle distance, he saw a small and undistinguished-
looking shrub covered with greenish leaves. In a moment
of visionary inspiration, the idea of a nice cup of tea came
to Earl’s mind. Thus was born the East India Tea
Company and the saying “I’m gasping for a cuppa!”
