make us a Good follower of God because we also make sacred
promises to our heavenly Father, and He promises us blessings
in return.

2. How does the sacrament help me keep my covenant to follow Jesus

Christ?

- We promise to serve him to the end and to keep the Lord's

commandments. A covenant is a two-way promise. God
promises us certain blessings in return for keeping the terms we
accepted when making the covenant. It is also a Christian rite
that has been ordained by Christ that holds means of divine
grace. This sacrament guides us on what you should do and
what you should not do. Doing this keeps us closer to God and
acknowledges Him as our savior.
