Media Policy - ALL EMPLOYEES & DRIVER PARTNERS

Purpose: Effective communication with the media are critical to goPuff’s ability to carry out its
mission and to:

● inform the public of what we do


● promote goPuff’s achievements, activities and events of significance
● expand the general visibility of goPuff, and
● ensure that accurate and consistent information is conveyed to the public about goPuff

Policy:
● This policy applies to all goPuff employees and driver partners, and goes into effect
immediately.

● Photography/Videography:
○ Pictures/Video of goPuff internal facilities, products or operations are
PROHIBITED without the prior written consent of the Director of
Communications.

● Access to Non-Public Areas:


○ Third parties and Visitors are not permitted in goPuff facilities or non-public
areas of stores, without permission of David Reeves (refer to the goPuff Visitor
Policy).
○ Driver Partners are not permitted in goPuff facilities or non-public areas of
stores, except in designated Driver Areas or if restrooms are located within these
areas.

● Media:
○ Only authorized executives and employees in the Communications Department
can serve as spokespersons for goPuff. Employees and Driver Partners are not
permitted to speak to the media (television, radio, magazines, newspaper or
social media) representing goPuff.
○ All requests from news or media representatives for comments, information or
stories about goPuff must be referred to goPuff’s Communications Department
immediately.

● Disclosure of Information:
○ Employees and Driver Partners are required to keep Private and Confidential,
and otherwise not disclose, all company information, strategic plans, delivery
operations, products, sales strategies, partnerships, policies and procedures
pursuant to Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure provisions in your Employment or
Driver Contract.

Violation of this policy is grounds for discipline, up to and including termination of


employment or driver partner contract.
How to Respond to Inquiries:

On occasion, the media may contact you to request information or interviews, or ask permission
to film inside or outside of a goPuff office or facility. It is essential that any information released
to the media is accurate, consistent with our stated policies, and in the best interests of our
Company. Therefore, it is a necessity that all goPuff employees adhere to our media policy.
Your compliance will help goPuff provide coordinated and consistent responses to any inquiries.

● Any person receiving an inquiry from the media, customers or partner/suppliers should
take the following steps:

○ Always be polite and professional, just as you would be to a customer.

○ Tell the representative that per the goPuff Media Policy, you cannot disclose any
information or allow them to take photos/videos of the facility or store, and that all
media requests get referred to the Corporate Communications Department.

○ Ask for their contact information and direct their request to Liz Romaine

○ Tell them they will receive a response shortly. Ask them to leave the premises if
they are at one of our locations.

○ No further comments should be made.

○ Information should NOT be confirmed or denied. All that should be said is that
the call/email will be returned.

○ Reach out immediately to Liz and provide as much information as possible such
as the representative’s name, telephone number, email address, the media outlet
they are calling from, questions they asked and if there is a deadline to the story.

○ Never say “no comment,” make general, conversational comments or go “off-the-


record.” If necessary, say, “I’m sorry, I am not authorized to comment on behalf
of the Company.”

○ If you receive a request that seems media-related but you are unsure, please
direct the representative to Liz.

member of management.
