My cousin MayJune, a TARUC student needs a personal computer in her studies. However, she
is uncertain about the types of personal computers that would suit her needs. Upon helping
MayJune to decide on the type of personal computer to buy, we found 3 personal

1.3 Final decision and description of recommendations.

Based on the comparison above, the most suitable for MayJune is the HP laptop with model
Pavilion Gaming Laptop-15z-ec200.
Depending on the CPU with 6 cores and 12 threads and an 8GB ram, allows good performance
on multi-tasking. For example, MayJune can open a lot of slides for study, checking information,
and also use adobe photoshops applications for graphic design purposes at the same time.
After a tiring day ends, games are one of the best ways to release our stress and most of the
exciting games on PC minimum requirement of ram is 8GB because of the amazing graphics and
talking about graphics, this laptop was implanted with NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 (4 GB),
making the games graphics and the playing experience jump to another level. If MayJune is not
interested in games, watching a movie, dramas are also a good choice. This is due to the reason
that this laptop has the highest refresh rate among the three laptops, providing a smoother
video play. If MayJune wanted to edit a video, the display with 144Hz of this laptop will also
give her a great help because it refreshes 144 times per second to display a new image.

We have 2 application software suggestions for MayJune in her work which is Microsoft Office
and Discord.

Microsoft Office
Microsoft Office is one of the best applications for study and work in the world. This application
has a lot of functions like Word file for reports, Powerpoint for slide show and presentation, or
even Excel for accounting. These functions can help her carry out her homework, daily tasks
even assignments in an efficient way. Also can use this application for her notes by taking a
shorter time than handwriting and can be saved on PC for future reference and she doesn't
take a lot of time to find her handwriting notes. On top of that, she can open multiple notes
while studying. She can save some money from buying pens and papers by using this way. By
using this application, she can create a diagram that is better and tidier than hand drawing. Last
but not least, when a lesson is on, she will need to jot down the points and it is very hard to
follow up with the teacher's speed and cannot guarantee that after she writes, will she be able
to read her own handwriting? So Microsoft Word will have a huge help in this part. As just now
mentioned, typing is always faster than writing so she can keep up with the teacher’s speed and
the handwriting problem is no more because there are a lot of tidy fonts she can choose.

Discord
An application can help her to share links or data, image and even share screens for discussion.
By using this application they can use the chat box for discussion and share the data or link to
refer to a piece of certain information. Furthermore, through the “Share Your Screen” function,
she can show her entire screen to her friends easier for their discussion with more convenience
and clearer. In addition, this application also has a voice channel for users. Through this voice
channel, they can discuss their assignment or homework by using a microphone and face-to-
face discussion is not necessary anymore. It is more efficient than typing and information will
be sent clearer. On top of that, she can invite bots into her server for play music purposes and
share recent news on the server so that not only she. Her friends also get to know the news
without going searching online, newspaper or listening to the radio. So that they can work or
study in a comfortable environment.
1.5 The risk and benefits of using the cloud for storage and other services.

The benefits of using the cloud for storage and other services are saving cost. Cost-saving is one
of the biggest cloud computing benefits. It helps us to save substantial capital cost as it does
not need to spend huge amounts of money on purchasing and maintaining equipment. We also
do not have to invest in any physical hardware, facilities or building out a large data centre.

The second one of the benefits is security. Cloud offers many advanced security features that
guarantee that data is securely stored and handled. Cloud storage services provide baseline
protections for their system and the data they process, such as authentication, access control,
and encryption. Cloud storage also saves our data across redundant servers, so even if one of
the data centres gets collapsed, our data will be managed by the other data centres, which
make our data safe and supervised.

The risk of using the cloud is the internet connection. All cloud-based storage is dependent on
having a good or poor internet connection. If the internet connection was very poor or a slow
network that may have an issue accessing the storage. The cloud can't be accessed without an
internet connection. Moreover, there is no other way to gather data from the cloud.

The second risk is cyber-attack. Cyber Attack is launched by cybercriminals. They can disable
computers, steal data and use the violated computer to attack other computers. They have
many ways to launch a cyber attack. The hackers will use the stolen data to sell it out to earn
money or they can make fraud.

The router is one of the hardware devices that are required for a wireless network. First and
foremost, the advantage of wireless networks over wired networks for the printing shop is
access and availability. It allows customers to print out the things they want easily, there is no
need to use extra cables or adapters. On top of that, the efficiency of using the wireless
network. The customers do not have to download their files and images that they want to print
out from their phone or laptop. Besides that, flexibility. It allows users to do other productivity
things when they are away from their computer. Last but not least, it is cost-effective. It is easy
and cheaper to install compared to the wired network and it is a good solution if the landlord
does not allow the installation of cables.

Suggestion for Tony of the Internet services is Unifi. It is because for businesses using the speed
of the internet is important but the requirement of speed needed is not that much. 100 Mbps is
totally enough, and Unifi also provides free installation and further free upgrade plans.
Meanwhile, you can pay the same money and the plans will upgrade to better plans. This is
good for Tony to save more money and get benefits provided by Unifi. For example like free
call, free DECT phone, free modem and fibre-optic cable. On top of that, this plan is unlimited
means Tony can download files, watch movies for free and for business use or bank
transmission without any hindrance like data not enough.

The first transmission media that Tony needed is Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a wireless
transmission media technology that allows the exchange of data between different devices
within a short amount of distance. Bluetooth is one of the broadcast radios. At the same time,
Bluetooth can connect and control other devices among different users. The connection of the
Bluetooth is secure and safe against hacking because it operates on any various frequencies and
the devices hop between these frequencies hundreds of times per second. Bluetooth also is
free to use and has lower power consumption. Bluetooth is suitable for Tony’s printing shop
because Bluetooth can bring convenience without the needs for the cable or modem to
connect a device to another device. Besides that, Tony also will not be too anxious and too busy
to help every customer on sending and printing the customer’s document because those
customers can directly send the document to the printer by using Bluetooth and print out the
document directly by themselves. The most important Bluetooth can link with multiple devices
and without any hindrance and don’t have any services charge or fees.

The second transmission media that Tony needed is a wifi connection. Wi-Fi allows local area
networks (LANs) to operate without wiring and cables. It also allows many modern devices such
as laptops, smartphones and so on by providing wireless broadband internet access. On top of
that, initial setup of wireless networks only requires little more than a single access point. After
having Wi-Fi in Tony’s printing shop, it is convenient for everyone in the shop. Tony is also able
to receive orders from online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week since his printing shop is near to
the college, the student will need to print out their assignments, homeworks and study
materials. By receiving orders from online, Tony is able to print out the placed order so that the
customers just have to pay and pick up their printed materials. In this era of technology, people
around also started to use e-wallet. By having a wifi connection, customers are able to pay their
debt by using e-wallet or online payment.
