Dearest Friend,

Hi, how are you? This is Belle Gitamondoc. It's been months since I last saw you and this
feels so sudden and weird since I never write and send letters like this particularly to you. But the
reason I'm writing is because I wanted to share something I learned to you...just for fun and its been
long since we both talked to each other.
Do you know what "philosophy" is? I mean...you're pretty smart, so of course you know what
it is. But from what I learned and understand now, my perspective of that word has changed a lot.
My perspective about the word philosophy is the nature and knowledge that we have and act on.
In what I understood when I was learning more into philosophy, Human beings are the
main focus of this subject. It portrays humans' love for wisdom or the the wonder or the knowledge
of all things through causes.
We have philosophy to try to understand the answers to "what is man?" and "what is the act
of being?". We study and look into what is the ultimate cause and the first and most principles of
reality, which imposes what is a real being and what is the being of our reasons or our thoughts. The
act of being is in different degrees.
We have philosophy to understand the different levels of beings that exist in the universe,
from there we have the purest act which is God. In this universe, we are under the influence of many
varied factors. We exist to support these levels and cause "accidents" to make perfection in our own
way because of those influences. In that way, we have acts and potencies which are real states of a
certain substance that is exposed to motion and transformation. This means that change is real and
necessary.
I got too excited and wrote down too much stuff. To summarize, Philosophy entails about
the nature of reason, existence and reality. Accidents and changes happen for human beings to be
who they are. They exists not only for the joy but for the pain, too. It's all up to the decisions that we
make. I'll end it here. I hope you received this letter and wish for a reply about your thoughts about
the subject of Philosophy.

Your friend,

Belle Gitamondoc
P.S. I hope we see each other soon.
