To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Kyle Mireles, I am a history teacher at Mona Shores High School in Muskegon. I
am writing on behalf of Ashlee Jakubowski, a former student of mine. Ms. Jakubowski is an
incredibly talented young lady who represents a wide area of interests, academic abilities and
athletic achievements.

Ms. Jakubowski has chosen to challenge herself throughout her academic career, something I
know she will continue to do as she advances through her degrees. Choosing to take AP
Human Geography represents not only her wide range of interests but the willingness to accept
a challenge.

As a teacher I get to see Ashlee succeed in the classroom but she also excels on the athletic
field as well. Varsity Lacrosse while Academic All-State last season showcases Ashlee’s
dedication to her craft. She has steadily improved overcoming injury to be a dominant force on
the field. Ashlee is deeply rooted in her school participating in activities like Student Senate,
Choir, Link Crew and volunteering in the community. Seeing opportunity, she took the chance to
not just participate but to participate broadly across the spectrum and to invest into the school,
the community, and herself.

Ms. Ashlee Jakubowski represents some of the very best about Mona Shores High School. A
young lady aware of her own realities, challenging herself constantly, and deeply invested in her
school community. It is my honor to share her story with you. I thank you for your time and
