This document compares the results of determining the moisture content of coal samples using two different methods: gravimetric oven drying and instrumental analysis using a Mettler Toledo HSB 43S moisture analyzer. For both methods, 10 coal samples were tested and the weight, moisture content, average, standard deviation, and relative standard deviation were calculated. The results show that both methods yield similar average moisture contents of 12.4-12.5% with low standard deviations, indicating the two methods produce comparable results.
