Printable Checklist for Visa (1st) Appointment

 The appointment letter


 The approval notice (I-797) for the I-130 / I-129 that
was filed
 A Mexican Passport
 A new/updated I-864 Affidavit of Support and all the
supporting documents
 A new/updated G-325A (For the intending immigrant)
 Marriage Certificate (Original / Certified and Photocopy)
 Birth Certificate (Original / Certified and Photocopy) for
petitioner and applicant
 Divorce Decree (Original / Certified and Photocopy) if
applicable
 Death Certificate (Original / Certified and Photocopy) if
applicable
 DS-230 part 1 & 2
 Passport size photographs x 2
 Police Certificate, Court Records, Prison Records ONLY IF
REQUESTED
 All documents in languages other than Spanish /
English must be translated
 Medical Exam Results (You will receive this after
completing the exam at the designated clinic) &
Immunization Records (This may be a combination of
what you have already or from the medical exam)
 Fingerprints fee (This is usually not charged anymore,
but better to have it then not)
 Proof of relationship with relative / spouse / fiancé:
photos, rental agreements, contracts, bank account,
loans, life insurance (beneficiary), letters from family
and friends etc...
