In recognizing the right of indigenous peoples to basic education that is culturally rooted and
responsive, I hereby respectfully requesting in your good office the approval for granting us an item
for nationally funded teacher I position for this school year 2022-2023. In this regards, I am highly
reccommending Miss Rechelle P. Astoveza to be hired in Lumutan Elemetary school.
Below are some reasons why we have this ardent desire to grant our request to let her teach in
Lumutan Elementary School

1. Miss Astoveza is an Indigenous People, she is currently a locally funded teacher in the
said school.
2. Miss Astoveza is in the RQA under DO 50. It is more suited for her to render service in an
IPED school like Lumutan Elementary School.
3. Miss Astoveza resides in the the community where the school is located. She knows well
the culture and norms of the community.
