"ACCEPTANCE ON SAME SEX MARRIAGE/UNION OF CHRISTIAN

DEVOTEES"

The main issue/problem:

- Here in the philippines, same sex marriage/union is frowned upon by thousands, even
millions, especially by the elderly,
The Philippines is a religious country and many think it is a sin, a crime of some sort to their
beliefs.

Central Question (or questions) and your provisional thesis (if any):
- "How can we change the minds of other christians to accept a devotee who is also part of
the LGBTQI community?"

Many already supports the idea of same sex marriage, but alot of christians are against it
because of their religion and beliefs.

devotees are afraid of coming out, they think that they will be a disgrace or a ‘sinner’, so they
choose to hide their sexuality, they are not able to express who they truly are.

Why is the issue compelling to you:

- This topic is interesting to me as we are in a generation full of LGBTQI members. they range
over millions or even a billion world wide. As alot of you know, alot of discrimination happens
in our country, alot of people use the gender “bakla, tomboy” as an insult, when in fact its just
a word that some people identify with.

With this topic in mind, we hope to abolish this discrimination and be accepted to the point
that it wont matter to others if two same sex gets married under the church or under law.

What you already know about the issue and need to know:
- LGBTQI members that are also devotees to their religion are stuck choosing between their
belief or gender.
- They are frowned upon by fellow devotees who think being part of the LGBTQI is a sin.
-
Your intended audience:
- The audience will be christians who think same sex marriage/union is a sin.
- christians who are closeted because of their devotion.
- young audience who has a religious household.

Sample Size:
- two streets assuming every household is christian
