The Restaurant

Situation Analysis:
The restaurant is overflowed with customers lined up.
The employees are chatting with the customers to delay service.
Raphael points out that Bea started it.
Bea was serving a VIP customer.
Conflict Manage:
Calling the attention of the employees to the urgency of serving the customers. This is to be
followed with micromanagement accordingly.
Team building afterward:
Inform the team of the entire situation: Bea was not deliberately delaying the customers.
She was serving as needed to a VIP customer. Afterward, everyone took a self-interested action.
This conflict has caused inconvenience that possibly hurt the reputation of the restaurant.
The team must be regrouped to the values of the restaurant and quality service. So, along
with goal reorientation, effective communication among the employees can help mitigate this in
the future. This can be initiated by the manager itself. Effective micromanagement and
relationship building can foster teamwork.
Additionally, a correction would not be completed without a goal with positive
reinforcement. In this situation, the employees may not be compensated well that they tried to
cut their job. Therefore, a team-based incentive compensation must be applied in the restaurant
to encourage teamwork.
