Writing an essay in the CSS exam is not everyone's cup of tea. To tackle an essay is something that every CSS aspirant is afraid of. And the essay contains 100 marks so we cannot neglect it at all. However, playing with some strategies will definitely help you build a mind-blowing essay. Essay Writing Tips Here are some tips for essay writing in the CSS exam. Practice essay writing according to the following techniques. Brainstorm the ideas Ask the examiner for a second answer booklet. On the last page of the booklet write “Rough Work” on top and write down all the things that come to your mind. Don’t think about whether this idea is suitable or not just write down all the things that come to your mind inflow. Here we can divide this step into the following subparts. e Write down all the ideas. e Eliminate all the non-related ideas. e Arrange all the ideas in a sequence by e¢ numbering them. Make an outline The sequence you made in the last step is now has become an outline of your essay. Write down the sequenced ideas ina proper way so that it looks like a proper outline of the essay. Do not add an unnecessarily detailed outline so that the examiner finds it not worthy enough to read it. The purpose of the outline is to give the examiner an overview of the points that he is going to read. Remember, the outline provides the first impression of your essay to the examiner. So don’t make it extremely long and detailed. Note: The length of the outline of your essay should not be more than 2.5 pages. The best practice is to make it 2 pages. Include the examples in the outline Include the main examples that you are going to use to justify your point in the outline. This will show that you have a strong grip on the topic and that you are justifying your opinion with references and not just randomly. Show the examiner that you have insights into the topic and you have well researched the topic. Justify each argument: Justify your every argument with suitable examples. Use statistical data with facts and figures appropriately according to your topic. Note: Don't use more than just 2 examples to justify your argument otherwise it will create a mess and possibility is that the examiner finds it boring and loses his interest. Write each new argument in a new paragraph Write each new argument in a new paragraph and write only one argument in a paragraph. Don’t bombard the examiner with multiple arguments and ideas in a single paragraph. There is no limit of paragraphs in an essay so use this facility as there are no bounds. Write each paragraph as it is completely an essay itself. The paragraph should be started with a topic sentence describing the main idea of the paragraph. Then it should contain the lines elaborating further the idea of that paragraph. And in the last line, it should have a conclusion of that paragraph. Try to use words like ‘
