Description
of the ● The Shell NXplorers STEM Program was a self learning course that students could take
activity up.
● This focused on the Food - Water - Energy Nexus, and the programme aims to build
awareness, develop knowledge and provide thinking tools and complex problem
solving skills to the leaders of the future.
● The NXplorers programme provided twelve practical tools that helped us apply
NXthinking to issues that matter. The tools helped us to explore the issues, create
preferred future scenarios and bring about positive change.

Outcome
● By using an integrated approach to thinking, the NXplorers programme helped us
develop a strong understanding of the interdependencies in the food, water and
energy nexus, and helped us recognise how changes made to one system can impact
one or both of the other systems.
