Leadership Assignment

Throughout history, including this century, great individuals have stepped forward
and become great political leaders. This does not, however, indicate whether their
leadership has been for good or bad. For this assignment, you will choose an
individual leader in this century and do an in-depth study of that person which
includes the following sections:

● Introduction
● Brief biography
● Reasons for getting involved politically
● What leadership traits and characteristics were shown and how?
● What did this individual accomplish?
● Which of the 4 factors that affect power affected your leaders power?
○ Evidence to back up your claim!

OPTION 1: If you choose to present you must do so on Chart Paper, Bristol

Board, or a 1 Slide Presentation.

A) Point form for presentation

B) Bring your own notes
C) Notes are to be handed in with Chart Paper, Bristol Board, or Slide
D) Groups are allowed, Maximum of 3 per group

OPTION 2: If you choose to write an essay, you will do so using 12pt Font, with 1
inch margins. No title page necessary!

A) Essay must be 3-5 pages in length

B) Double Spaced
C) Sources are required, minimum of 3
D) Paper must be written in MLA citation style

Both assignments will be marked using the following Criteria:

40 marks

● Completion of requirements (15 marks)

● Organization of ideas (10 marks)
● Comprehension of the material regarding your subject (10 marks)
● Adherence to Grade 12 writing standards (5 marks)
