Objective:
By the end of this lesson, the students should be able to
a. Explain why the Philippines is a state; (Cognitive)
b. Create Venn Diagram to compare and Contrast a nation and a state;
and(Psychomotor)
c. Share their ideas on the importance of a nation being a state. (Affective)

Evaluation:

Activity:
1.) Interrogate students to write on their paper what they know about the concepts of
state and nation. Elicit and gather as many answers as possible.
2.) Let the students share their views in front of the class their views on the importance
of freedom in a country. Discuss briefly the answers given by the students.
