Executive Summary

TAZA Fruits is a company that deals in the production of natural plant-based coating technology
to enhance food life. The food industry has been a producer of lots of waste due to fruits and
vegetables getting rotten after just a few days. In order to minimize this wastage and to help our
natural ecosystem, our company will use natural plant-based technologies to protect fruits and
vegetables, helping to eliminate food spoilage and reduce reliance on chemicals.
Edible coating extends the post-harvest life of fresh fruits and vegetables. It is used to improve food
appearance and provide safety to the food by its environmentally friendly nature.

The unique selling point of our company is its uniqueness i.e. it is first of its nature in Pakistan that
will generate increased revenues and profit margins. There are no competitors working for
prolonging the life of fruits and vegetables in the country. There has been no serious effort from the
government of any private organization. Any serious effort for working on reducing food wastage
and increasing the shelf life of fruits will be venerated by all factions of the society. Local vendors
like people selling fruits and vegetables on carts as well as just by the side of road with a small shop
and some cartons, sell more fruits wasting less than ever. Apart from that common people will also
support it for having good hygienic standards and reducing the effect of pollution on fruits and
vegetables.

Since no one has ever worked on this project in Pakistan, the profit and initial investments are
difficult to estimate. Harps has reported a 50% increase in Profit Margins in just two months. Skilled
labor, advance technology and public awareness are the challenges being faced. But our company
has feasible solutions for all the problems.
