COMMON ELIGIBILITY TEST (CET-2022) – AUGUST 2022

FOR M.Phil. / Ph.D., PROGRAMME
INSTRUCTIONS
Read the instructions carefully before filling up the application form.
The application without filling any of the following criteria / details is liable for rejection.

The Common Eligibility Test application form is only for the admis s ion of regular M.Phil./Ph.D.
(Full time/Part time) programmes for the academic year 2022-2023 offered in the University
Departments/Affiliated Colleges and Recognized Research Institutions.
Online Application form is available in the University official website: www.b-u.ac.in

The candidate should upload the filled in application form along with the relevant documents:
1. Rs. 500/- as application fee (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates on submission of an attested copy of
community certificate) to be paid through Online mode or Demand Draft in favour of “The Registrar,
Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.”

2. The candidates who are studying in the final year should enclose the Course Completion Certificate as
mentioned in the Annexure –I.

3. Candidates having minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree in the
respective subject / discipline are eligible to appear for CET - 2021 (for SC/ST Candidates the
minimum eligibility is 50 %) and copy of the PG mark statements should be enclosed.

4. Candidates securing minimum 15 out of 50 marks are eligible to apply for the M.Phil., and
Ph.D., programmes.

5. Last Date for submission of online application is 10.08.2022 by 11.59 p.m

NOTE: A hard copy of the filled in online application form along with the certificates should be
reached BY POST on or before 17.08.2022 in a closed envelope superscribed as “APPLICATION
FOR M.Phil.,/Ph.D. COMMON ELIGIBILITY TEST-2022 in (SUBJECT NAME)” to the
Coordinator, CET, Department of Chemistry, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore - 641 046.
* UGC / CSIR-NET / SET / GATE / M.Phil., Qualified / Teacher Fellowship holders / DST
INSPIRE Fellow/ Scientists working in DRDO / Faculty of Air Force Administrative College
and the candidates who obtained PG degree from abroad need not appear for Common Eligibility
Test (CET).
