In this day and age, it appears that most teachers assign their students
daily homework which is necessary for them as it is a chance for them to
practise their skills, avoid becoming lazy, and build self-discipline.
First, learning to do something needs a great deal of practice. While
some students can understand a lesson quickly, many are unable to remember all the information at the first time. By doing homework after each lesson, they will know how to do the exercise properly without making several mistakes, which is required for the school exams.
Second, all students, especially small kids or teens, choose to entertain
whenever they have free time but not to study. Homework not only teaches them study habits as it is obligated, but also prevents them from becoming addicted to entertaining sources and lazy all the time.
Third, in order to finish the homework assigned, students have to
estimate how much time they need to do it and how much is left for entertaining. This helps them a lot in training time management and responsibility, which are necessary skills to be successful in the future.
However, assigning homework to students every day may have some
drawbacks. When there is too much work to do, they will feel worried and have to stay up late, which cause stress and affect their health negatively. Thus, teachers should know their students, give them a balanced amount of schoolwork.
In conclusion, daily homework plays a significant role in every student’s
education and helps them build skills that are required for their future. Despite some disadvantages, we cannot deny its impact on their lives.
